44th Radley Good Friday Walk

This year's walk (Radley to Oxford and back) took place on a glorious spring day with a record number of 41 people starting the main event – the first one to be started by the event organiser, Chris Gasson, as Clerk of the Green Cloth.

The winner was Philip Jeacock in a time of 2 hours 8 minutes and 23 seconds, followed closely by

Peter Wiblin, a former winner on several occasions, in 2 hours 8 minutes 32 seconds. Another previous winner, Darren Fox, was third in 2 hours 22 minutes and 31 seconds. The 1st Lady was Laura Wiblin in 2 hours 30 minutes 22 seconds.  Special mention to the Guide Troop were 26th to 38th in 4 hours 9 minutes 49 seconds.

The inaugural event of the Radley Half Walk (Radley to Red Bridge and back) saw 14 starters. It was won jointly by George Warren and Elliot Pitts (both 13 years old) in a time of 1 hour 41 minutes 15 seconds. Catherine Jefferies and Wendy Ball were joint 1st ladies home in 2 hours 4 minutes 21 seconds.

Approximately 80 people took part in the much shorter 5th Radley Triangle (Lower Radley and back). The event was won narrowly by James Marrable, closely followed by three Brownies.

The proceeds from the day of £187.23 were given to the Radley Fete.
